First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study follows 150 adults with severe arm or leg injuries who needed a tourniquet to stop bleeding. Researchers will track how long the tourniquet was used and check for pain, nerve pain, and recovery over 6 months. The goal is to see if longer tourniquet use increases the chance of long-term pain, helping doctors balance saving lives with reducing lasting harm.
