Heart pump patients get a tiny monitor that could keep them out of the hospital
NCT ID NCT07096544
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether a small, wireless heart monitor called CardioMEMS can help people with a mechanical heart pump (LVAD) avoid hospital stays for heart failure. About 40 adults who already have an LVAD will be randomly assigned to either get the monitor or receive standard care. The goal is to see if the monitor reduces heart-failure-related hospital visits and emergency room trips.
