New drug combo aims to halt tough prostate cancer

Summary

This study tests two drugs, cabozantinib and atezolizumab, in 33 men with a type of advanced prostate cancer that has spread and no longer responds to hormone therapy. The goal is to see if the combination can stop or shrink tumors. Participants must have non-measurable disease outside the pelvis and have progressed after at least one prior treatment.
