Can a phone app help teens in crisis? new study tests digital safety planning

Summary

This study will test an enhanced version of a suicide safety planning app called ViraSafe in 100 teens and young adults (ages 13-24) who have recently attempted suicide or had serious suicidal thoughts. The goal is to see if the app helps them engage more with coping skills and their safety plan compared to the original BRITE app. The study lasts 3 months and measures how often participants use the app and their feedback on its usability.
