New injection could ease stubborn IBS-C symptoms

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called brenipatide for adults with irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C). About 342 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo injection under the skin for several weeks. The goal is to see if the drug safely improves belly pain and bowel movements better than a placebo.
