Deep breaths for better mental health: new study tests breathing in teens

NCT ID NCT07369752

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple breathing practice is a practical and well-liked option for teenagers aged 12 to 17 who have anxiety or depression. Researchers will work with 40 teens from both rural and non-rural areas to see if they can stick with the program and find it helpful. The goal is to gather information on how easy and acceptable this approach is, not to prove it works as a treatment.
