Scientists map brain activity to unlock movement secrets in Parkinson's

NCT ID NCT05179187

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how certain cues (like visual or sound signals) help people with Parkinson's disease move more easily. Researchers will use EEG and MRI to watch brain activity while participants perform movement tasks. The goal is to find brain patterns that could lead to new treatments for movement problems like freezing of gait. About 90 adults with Parkinson's or healthy volunteers will take part.
