First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether small amounts of brain inflammation contribute to movement and thinking problems in people with Parkinson disease. Researchers will use a new radioactive tracer called [11C]-CS1P1 in PET scans to measure inflammation in the brain. The study includes 80 volunteers aged 50 and older, both with and without Parkinson disease, to compare inflammation levels and see how they relate to symptoms.
