First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study aims to measure inflammation in the brains of people with Parkinson disease using a new radioactive tracer called [11C]-CS1P1 during a PET scan. Researchers believe this inflammation may contribute to movement and thinking problems. The study will compare 80 participants with Parkinson disease to healthy controls, all aged 50 and older, to see if inflammation levels differ and relate to symptoms.
