What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

botulinum toxin (Botox) injection

What this could lead to

If successful, this could improve symptom control for people with movement disorders and help train doctors in best injection techniques.

What could go wrong

This is an ongoing training and observation study, not a formal test of a new treatment. Results may not apply to all patients, and botulinum toxin can cause temporary muscle weakness or other side effects.
