Shake it off: vibration training may boost metabolism in obese teens

NCT ID NCT06800872

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether adding whole-body vibration training to a standard 3-week weight-loss program helps obese teenage boys burn more calories while resting. About 28 boys aged 13-18 will either get the vibration sessions plus the usual rehab (diet, exercise, counseling) or just the rehab alone. Researchers will also check if vibration improves heart function and muscle strength.
