Blue light surgery may slash bladder cancer recurrence

NCT ID NCT06525571

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether using blue light during bladder tumor removal surgery helps surgeons see and remove more cancer than standard white light. About 200 adults with high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods. The goal is to see if blue light reduces leftover cancer and lowers the chance of the cancer coming back.
