New hope for chronic coughers: experimental drug enters final testing phase

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called BLU-5937 in adults who have had a stubborn cough for at least a year that hasn't improved with other treatments. About 75 people in China will receive either the drug or a placebo for 24 weeks to see if it reduces coughing and is safe. The goal is to find a new option for people whose chronic cough severely affects their daily life.
