Aspirin vs. injections: the battle to stop deadly clots after cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT03244020

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to prevent dangerous blood clots in patients having surgery for bone or soft tissue cancer in the leg or pelvis. It will compare two common prevention methods: daily aspirin pills versus daily blood-thinner injections (LMWH). Researchers want to see which method is more effective at preventing clots while also causing fewer bleeding complications and wound problems.
