Bladder tissue study tests Cannabis-Like drugs on muscle contractions

NCT ID NCT07545694

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how certain drugs that affect the body's endocannabinoid system (similar to cannabis) change the way bladder muscle contracts. Researchers will take a small piece of healthy-looking bladder tissue from 65 adults having bladder cancer surgery. They will test the tissue in a lab to see if these drugs make the muscle more or less active. The goal is to learn more about bladder function, not to treat patients directly.
