Lab study probes bladder muscle reactions to Cannabis-Like drugs
NCT ID NCT07545694
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looks at how drugs that interact with the body's natural cannabis-like system affect bladder muscle contractions. Researchers will collect a small piece of healthy-looking bladder tissue from 65 adults having bladder cancer surgery. In the lab, they will test whether these drugs change how the muscle tightens on its own or when stimulated by nerves. The goal is to better understand bladder function, not to treat patients directly.
