Summary
This study tested a program to help bladder cancer patients and their caregivers prepare for and recover from bladder removal surgery. A nurse or health professional provided pre-surgery education and stoma care training, and patients got access to a recovery website with videos and resources. The goal was to improve quality of life and reduce infections and unplanned hospital visits. 174 patients and their caregivers took part.
