First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tested a newer endoscopy method (virtual chromoendoscopy) against the standard Seattle protocol for finding precancerous or cancerous changes in people with Barrett's esophagus. About 110 adults with Barrett's esophagus took part. The goal was to see if the newer method detects more dangerous lesions, potentially improving monitoring and treatment.
