Spit test could spot esophagus condition before it turns cancerous

Summary
This study looks at whether taking multiple saliva samples over time can better detect Barrett's esophagus, a condition where the lining of the food pipe changes and can raise the risk of cancer. About 275 adults who have had or will have an endoscopy will provide saliva samples. Researchers will analyze the bacteria in the mouth to see if a simple, non-invasive test can help diagnose this condition earlier.
