NCT ID NCT04565691

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at bacteria that enter the bloodstream during dental treatment for gum disease. Researchers want to find biological markers that can quickly tell if someone has a bloodstream infection, which could help diagnose sepsis faster. About 100 adults with gum disease are being studied to see how these bacteria affect the body and heart health over time.
