Summary
This study tested a new medicine called AZD6234, given as a weekly shot, to help people with obesity or overweight lose weight. 262 adults took part, receiving either the drug or a placebo for 36 weeks. The main goal was to see if the drug led to greater weight loss than placebo, with a focus on losing at least 5% of body weight. The study is complete, and results will show if this approach is safe and effective for weight management.
