First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether an extra nerve block given during weight-loss surgery can lower pain, nausea, and the need for painkillers in the first three days after surgery. About 200 adults having gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy will be randomly assigned to get either standard care or an additional nerve block. The goal is to improve recovery and reduce opioid use.
