Bionic pancreas trial aims to simplify diabetes care

NCT ID NCT07011147

Summary

This study is testing whether a device called the iLet Bionic Pancreas can help adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes better manage their blood sugar when it is prescribed and monitored by their regular primary care doctor. Researchers will compare 13 weeks of using the automated insulin delivery system to 13 weeks of the participants' usual care routine to see which leads to better blood sugar control. The goal is to see if this advanced technology can work effectively in everyday primary care settings, not just specialized diabetes clinics.
