Summary
This study tested whether a simple scoring system (ATE score) can safely rule out dangerous blood clots in the heart before a procedure for atrial fibrillation. Over 3,000 adults participated. The goal was to see if the score could replace a more uncomfortable ultrasound test, potentially making preparation for treatment easier and less invasive.
