Apple watch could spot silent heart condition in High-Risk patients

NCT ID NCT05923359

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether an Apple Watch, worn over a long period, can catch early signs of atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat) in people who are at high risk but haven't been diagnosed yet. About 2,000 participants who had a previous ECG and a high AI risk score will wear the watch for monitoring. The goal is to see if the watch helps find AFib sooner than standard care.
