First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a new device made of shape memory polymer to treat a complication of aortic dissection called false lumen. The goal is to block blood flow into the false lumen and prevent the aorta from growing larger, which can be dangerous. About 30 adults with type A or B aortic dissection will be enrolled to see if the device is safe and works as intended.
