Summary

This study looked at nearly 1,000 adults having pancreatic surgery to see which antibiotic, cefoxitin or piperacillin-tazobactam, works better at preventing wound infections within 30 days after the operation. Participants received one of the two antibiotics before surgery. The goal is to help doctors choose the best option to reduce infections and improve recovery.
