Smart pacemaker aims to catch and stop atrial fibrillation before it starts
NCT ID NCT07572279
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study will follow 30 adults with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation who have a special pacemaker that can detect irregular heartbeats and send a quick electrical pulse to stop them. The pacemaker also sends data to doctors remotely, so they can monitor the heart without frequent clinic visits. The goal is to see how well the pacemaker catches and treats these episodes early, and to check its safety over one year.
