AI watchdog for home patients: can it spot trouble before it happens?
NCT ID NCT05045742
Summary
This study tested whether a computer algorithm could predict when patients receiving hospital-level care at home might get sicker. Researchers used past patient data to train the algorithm and then checked how well it worked on a new group of over 500 patients. The goal was to see if this technology could help doctors by providing more accurate warnings and reducing unnecessary alerts.
