AI reads your Heart's electrical signals to find hidden blockages
NCT ID NCT06528821
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study enrolls 800 patients having heart attacks to test an artificial intelligence model that reads standard 12-lead ECGs. The AI aims to detect which artery is blocked and how severely blood flow is reduced, at the moment of a heart catheterization. If accurate, this could help doctors decide on treatment faster and more precisely.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Artificial intelligence (AI) model analyzing standard 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs)
What this could lead to
If successful, this AI could help doctors quickly identify which artery is blocked during a heart attack, leading to faster, more targeted treatment.
What could go wrong
This is an observational registry, not a treatment trial. The AI's accuracy may vary across different patient groups, and it has not yet been tested in real-time clinical decision-making.
