NCT ID NCT04392284
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested whether a personalized lifestyle program could help people with obesity and related conditions like prediabetes or high blood pressure improve their insulin resistance. Forty adults received either nutrition or exercise counseling first, and if they didn't improve after 8 weeks, they were offered weight loss diet counseling or metformin. The main goal was to see if this approach was practical in a family medicine clinic and to gather early data on what works best.
