First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will adapt and test an online communication training program called CHATO for nursing home staff who care for people with dementia. The goal is to improve how staff interact with residents, which may reduce behavioral symptoms like agitation or rejection of care. Researchers will enroll 40 nursing homes and up to 1,200 staff members to see if the training leads to better outcomes for residents.
