First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at how the body processes the antiviral drug acyclovir in people with obesity compared to those without. Researchers tested a special dosing formula based on adjusted body weight. About 13 hospitalized patients had blood drawn multiple times over 12 hours to measure drug levels. The goal was to see if the adjusted dose provides safe and effective drug exposure.
