Summary

This study tests a low-cost pill called acetazolamide for people with moderate to severe sleep apnea who cannot tolerate a CPAP mask. Sixty adults will receive either the drug or a placebo for 4 weeks each, and researchers will measure sleep quality, memory, and quality of life. The goal is to see if this well-known, once-daily medication can offer a simple drug therapy option for millions of untreated patients.
