Summary

This study looks at two ways to treat atrial fibrillation (a common heart rhythm problem) in people aged 78 and older. One approach uses a procedure called catheter ablation to fix the heart's electrical signals, while the other uses medications to control heart rate or rhythm. Researchers will track participants for 2 years to see which strategy leads to fewer serious health events and better quality of life.
