New scan could spot sarcomas more clearly
NCT ID NCT06500065
First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a special type of PET/CT scan, using a tracer called 68Ga-DOTATATE, can better detect soft tissue sarcomas. The goal is to see if this imaging method can find tumors more clearly than standard scans, which may help doctors decide if a targeted radiation therapy could work. About 30 adults with soft tissue sarcoma who are candidates for systemic therapy will receive one extra scan, and researchers will look for areas of abnormal tracer uptake and track any side effects.
