First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special PET scan using 18F-FDOPA can help doctors decide on the best treatment for people with brain tumors (gliomas or metastases) when MRI results are unclear. 85 patients were enrolled. The goal was to see if the PET scan increased doctors' confidence in their treatment plan, potentially avoiding months of waiting for a clearer diagnosis.
