Summary
This study tested whether a home-based physical activity program, delivered by mail and phone without in-person visits, could help nearly 50,000 older women prevent heart attacks, strokes, broken hips, and falls. Participants received exercise guides, tips, and goal-setting tools. The goal was to see if a simple, scalable program could improve health and independence in older women.
