New ultrasound marker could help surgeons find cancer in lymph nodes

Summary

This early-stage study tests a new type of marker that can be seen more clearly on ultrasound. It is placed in lymph nodes where breast cancer has spread. The goal is to see if the marker is safe, stays in place, and helps surgeons find the cancer during surgery. About 15 people with locally advanced breast cancer will take part.
