First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether a single session of ultrasound-guided dry needling can safely ease headaches. Researchers will use real-time ultrasound to precisely target a deep neck muscle and avoid nearby nerves and blood vessels. 50 adults who have had a headache in the past 6 months and have tender neck muscles will participate. The goal is to see if this technique reduces headache pain and disability.
