New mHealth program aims to lower depression and stress in black pregnant women

Summary

This study tests whether a culturally tailored mobile health program can improve mental health and pregnancy outcomes in Black pregnant women. Half of the 150 participants will receive the program, which builds communication and self-advocacy skills and provides support. The goal is to reduce depression, anxiety, and stress, and to understand how inflammation may play a role.
