First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tested two different pain-relief methods for children aged 1 to 7 having hernia surgery. One method uses an ultrasound to guide a numbing injection near the belly muscles, while the other is a standard injection near the tailbone. The goal was to see which one keeps children comfortable longer after surgery and reduces the need for extra pain medicine.
