NCT ID NCT05585125
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tests a personalized approach called N-of-1 trials to help older adults (65+) with a type of heart failure (HFpEF) decide whether to continue or stop taking beta-blockers. Each participant serves as their own experiment, alternating between taking the drug and a placebo to see how they feel. The goal is to boost their confidence in making medication decisions, not to cure the disease.
