NCT ID NCT07160452
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding levocarnitine injections to standard care can lower the dose of anemia drugs needed by people on long-term dialysis. About 94 adults aged 20-60 who have been on dialysis for at least 6 months and have anemia will receive either levocarnitine after each dialysis session or usual care alone. The goal is to see if levocarnitine helps maintain healthy red blood cells with less medication, reducing side effects and costs.
