First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested two types of nerve blocks to control pain after total knee replacement. 62 patients received either a newer para-sartorial block or a standard femoral-sciatic block. Researchers measured how much extra pain medicine was needed and how well patients could move their legs after surgery. The goal was to find which block provides better pain relief with less muscle weakness.
