NCT ID NCT07471802

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at how a class of diabetes drugs called SGLT2i affects the balance between the 'fight or flight' and 'rest and digest' nervous systems in people with type 2 diabetes. Researchers will monitor heart rate patterns in 150 adults who also have heart failure, chronic kidney disease, or both. The goal is to better understand how these drugs protect the heart and kidneys, beyond just lowering blood sugar.
