First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study will monitor 150 adults with type 2 diabetes, some with heart failure or kidney disease, to see how a class of drugs called SGLT2 inhibitors affects the balance between the 'fight or flight' and 'rest and digest' nervous systems. Participants will wear a heart monitor for 24 hours at the start and again after starting the drug. The goal is to better understand how these drugs protect the heart and kidneys.
