Can hearing aids prevent dementia? major 6-Year study seeks answers

Summary
This study is following older adults for up to six years to see if using hearing aids can slow down memory loss and thinking problems, and possibly prevent dementia. It builds on a previous 3-year trial where half the participants received hearing aids and the other half received general health education. Now, researchers are extending the follow-up to see if the benefits of treating hearing loss last longer and have a stronger impact on brain health.
