First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether doing hand grip exercises with a dynamometer for six weeks helps the surgically created blood vessel connection (fistula) mature and stay open in adults on hemodialysis. 34 patients were randomly assigned to either the exercise program or standard care. The goal was to see if this simple, low-cost exercise can improve blood flow and reduce the need for extra procedures.
