NIH launches major study to predict which depression treatments work

Summary
This study aims to understand how people with depression or bipolar disorder respond to their regular treatments. Researchers will follow 500 adults already receiving clinical care for up to 12 weeks, conducting interviews and optional tests like blood draws and sleep studies. The goal is to find clues that might help predict which medications will work best for different people and reduce suicidal thoughts.
