Family help vs. hospital staff: which better prevents hospital confusion in elders?
NCT ID NCT05929703
Summary
This study compares two hospital programs designed to prevent delirium (sudden, severe confusion) in older patients during their hospital stay. It will test whether a program that trains family members to help with patient care is more effective than the standard program run only by hospital staff. The research aims to find the best approach to keep older patients mentally clear, improve their hospital experience, and reduce strain on their families.
