NCT ID NCT07257744
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study compares three standard pain relief methods used after open heart surgery: IV pain medicine, an epidural, and a nerve block. The goal is to see which method reduces the chance of long-term pain three months after surgery. Researchers will follow 90 adults and track their pain levels, recovery time, and any complications. The study does not assign treatments—doctors choose the method as part of normal care.
